As per Ministry of AYUSH recommends the self care guideline to prevent from Covid-19 and boost our immunity. We all know that “prevention is better than cure”. There is no medicine or vaccination till date. We all know the benefits of Ayurveda in our daily life to maintain our life healthy and happy.

Today we all aware how fast COVID 19 spread in India, in cities, in our societies. As Tulsi Kadha or Tulsi Tea helps in boosting our immunity and help to fight against this virus.

Holy Basil or Tulsi easily found in most of the home in India. It is a worship plant in Hinduism it also offered to the Gods in puja. In rainy season it easily grow itself every where. You can find Tulsi easily anywhere in India. There are two type of Tulsi – Rama and Shyama. Rama Tulsi is in green colour where as Shyama is in purplish colour. It also called as “Queen Of Herbs”. In our Ayurveda it has been used for more than thousand of years for medicines.

Tulsi or Holy Basils are very beneficial for our health and beauty.

  1. Tulsi leaf contains vitamin A and C, iron, zinc and calcium.
  2. Holy basil have properties to fight against infection and allergies.
  3. Tulsi have high amount of antioxidants which helps in reducing stress in our body.
  4. It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
  5. It also cures acne and mouth ulcers.
  6. Eating Tulsi helps to cure diabetes problem.
  7. Consuming Tulsi helps in lower the risk of kidney stones.
  8. It also maintain level of uric acid in our body.
  9. Tulsi is also use for skin problems.
  10. Its help in digestion and strengthen immunity.
  11. Tulsi is commonly use in cold- cough,flu and regular fever.
  12. Tulsi helps to cure asthma.
  13. It also help in recovery of many illness like malaria, dengue and swine flu.

Ingredients

Tulsi 7-8 leaves (crushed)

Black paper (kali mirch) 4-5 (crushed)

Ginger/Adrak 1 inch (crushed)

Salt 1 pinch

Water 1 glass

Method

  • Boil 1 glass of water in a pan.
  • Now add all the crushed ingredients into boil water. Cover and boil for 10-15 minutes in low flame.
  • After 10-15 minutes turn off the gas and leave it for 5 minutes to cool and infuse all ingredient into the water.
  • Serve hot as tea. Take only one cup in a day

From my childhood I use this Tulsi Kadha for cold- cough and normal fever or flu. Now these days, I replace our regular tea with this Tulsi Kadha or tea. This is very beneficial for boosting immune system strong. As I give this Tulsi tea to my 6 year old son there is no side-effect. I have never noticed.

Consult doctor before taking Tulsi kadha.

As you can plucked and eat raw leaf from plant, it is also very beneficial and safe for our health. Tulsi paste and powder are also used in many Ayurvedic medicine and herbal cosmetic products for long time.

In many home remedies it use as main ingredient. I personally prefer to take this tea or consume this holy Tulsi in any form to boost your immunity strong.
