Wheat is one of the grains that is very healthy and used by all. There are so many dishes we can make from wheat. Its easily digestible, we can eat wheat regularly.

But when we talk about our little ones, it is different. Because babies are not use to these foods. Some time is quite possible to react after consuming wheat.

When babies are 6-8 months we introduce them with solid food. Wheat is easy to digest and healthy as well.

But at the time to introduce it is good to first introducing with fruits (apple, banana, papaya) and vegetables (potato, carrot).

Mean time also continue your breast milk at least one year.

While introducing new foods keep close notice if any kind of allergic reaction after giving new food then stop it immediately.

Wheat based porridge is an easy way to introduce food as well as safe and healthy too.

You can use cow milk as it very easy to digest. As my kids are allergic to cow milk. So, I never used in any recipe. Lets get start.

Ingredient:

Wheat flour -1/2 cup

Moong dal -1/2 cup

Almonds/badam – 5-6

Jaggery powder – 1 Tbsp

Milk – 1 cup

Method:

  1. Heat a pan roast almonds for few minutes on low flame, remove it in a plate.
  2. Add moong dal and roast it till it gets slightly brown in colour. Cool it . Now roast wheat flour until the aroma come.
  3. Take a blender add almond and moong dal in fine powder also mix roasted wheat flour in it.
  4. Boil water in a pan add jaggery melt it. Make sure this jaggery water is clean. If you used organic jaggery it will good because this is no chemical in it.
  5. Add 1 Tbsp wheat mix slowly slowly in this jaggery water so, lumps being not formed.
  6. Cook this on low flame add some milk stirring continuously. Boil it, so it get thicken.
  7. Turn off the flame and cool it. Now this thicken porridge is ready to serve.

Note:

  1. You can store the roasted wheat flour, moong dal, almond mix in an air tight container for 20 days.
  2. Once it cold and get thicken, you can add warm milk or water to adjust the consistency.
  3. You can add breast milk or formula milk to adjust consistency.
  1. Always try to feed luck warm food this will give taste to baby.

This will give a daily nutrition to your baby and it is yummy too.

Once try this healthy wheat porridge, your baby will really love to eat. This is my personal observation.
