Oats is very good option to start solid food for babies There are lot of benefits of oats for babies. As we all know that apples are high in vitamin C and fiber benefit in our health.

  1. Apple oats is a very nutritious smoothie for 6 month babies. Oats contain high fiber, magnesium, iron and zinc.
  2. Oats also contains high amount of nutrition like calcium, potassium, phosphorous, sodium,zinc for growth of babies.
  3. Oats are easy to digest, babies of 6 month can eat oats regular basis, it make digestive system strong and prevent gas.
  4. Oats are easily combine with any fruits and veggies and increase the taste of food.
  5. Oats are highly nutritious it help baby to improve their immunity and increase their energy.
  6. Some babies are allergic to gluten, can also eat oats as it is gluten free. Gluten are found in grains like wheat barley etc.

While start solid always follow your pediatricians advice.

Ingredient

Oats : 2 Tbsp

Apple : ½ (peel and chopped)

Milk : 1 cup

Method

  1. Wash apple very well. Peel and chopped into small pieces.
  2. Take a pan and boil water, add oats. Cover and cook for 5 mint in low medium flame. Otherwise it stick in the bottom of pan.
  3. Oats cooked well now turn off the gas. Cool it at room temperature.
  4. Take a blender jar add oats and chopped apple blend into smooth paste.
  5. It’s ready to serve transfer in a feeding bowl.

Note:

  1. You can adjust the consistency by adding warm milk or water. Once it cool it becomes thick. It’s better to serve it luckwarm.
  2. Apples are already sweet so there is no need of sugar or any extra sweetness in baby food.
