This is probably simple and most versatile recipe as you can add vegetables and fruits according to your choice or mood.
I personally love raita so much in summer this is my first choice.
Raita has many variations you can add anything like boondi, fruits (apple, mango,) vegetables (cucumber, tomato, onion, bottle guard,) etc.
You can make raita with mix vegetables or add only one vegetable at a time. Let’s start with recipe.
INGREDIENTS
Plain Yogurt /curd -2 cup
Mix vegetables -1 cup (peel and finely chopped)
Green Mint leaf – 6-7
Roasted cumin powder -1 Tsp
Red chilli powder -1/2 Tsp
Chat masala -1/2 Tsp
Salt – 1Tsp
Water -1/2 cup (if required)
METHOD
- Take a blender jar put cold yogurt, cumin and red chilli powder, chat masala, salt and blend it.
- Add all mix vegetables (of your choice), chopped mint leaves with yogurt mixture.
- If required, add water and salt to adjust the consistency to make liquidy. I like liquidy to eat with little salt.
But it’s totally your choice if you want thick then don’t add water.
Note: In freeze you easily store for 7-8 hours. It is a very good tips by my mom, whenever you going to serve previous made raita add some fresh mint or green coriander leaves to give a fresh flavour to your raita.
