What are the symptoms of Corona virus?

It causes fever, sore throat, problem in breathing, cough and cold. This is very similar to flu. Sometime it also cause body pain, headache and loss of smell and taste.

Sometimes this virus show more serious symptoms in children and old peoples.

  How can we avoid this corona virus infection?

Make your hands clean and germs free. Because hand is the gate to enter first in house of our body.

  2. Frequent hand washing with any soap or handwash for 20 sec including fingers, nails and back of hand. Rinse with running water. Use clean cloth or towel for dry your hand, use only one time or single use.

  4. Make sure before eating hands should wash with soap and water only don’t use hand sanitizer. Also when coughing, blowing nose and going to bathroom you should washed your hands cleanly.

Symptoms in children

 Children below 5 year have higher risk. Children symptoms are same as those of adults as mentioned above. So we should try to strenghten their immunity.

Children should wear cloth mask to cover mouth and nose.

Must follow guidelines for home quarantine.

The home quarantine period is for 14 days from contact with a positive person or earlier if suspected. Some places number of days may vary depending upon the state rules.

  1. It is good to stay separate in single room with attached toilet. If for any reason you don’t have separate rooms or need to share the same room with other family members, then maintain 1 meter distance with them. 
  2. If there are children, old people or pregnant women then it is very necessary to stay away from them because there immunity is not too strong and they get easily infected.
  3. Don’t move in the house. And also maintain social distancing with everyone.
  4. Do not touch anything. It helps to spread this infectious virus everywhere.
  5. Needs to stay away from pets or animals at home.

Don’t take any stress. Handle this situation calmly, this is little tough time but ” every dark night has a bright day.” Follow all the below instructions carefully you will become healthy soon.

Personal / self healthcare routine during quarantine.

  1. Wash hand with soap and water or use alcohol based sanitizer often.
  2. Wear surgical mask all the time. Every 6-7 hours mask should be changed. If you use washable mask than wash and dry in direct sunlight.
  3. Keep your useable items separately. Don’t share your used items with anyone like towels, bedsheets, dishes, cups and glasses, plates etc.
  4. Make sure only one dedicated assigned family member takes care of that person.
  5. Always use disposable hand gloves during cleaning the surfaces, avoid direct contact with skin.
  6. After removing gloves always wash hands with soap and water immediately.

Cleaning of environment.

1. Always clean and disinfect the room of quarantine person. It best to use 1% Sodium Hypochlorite Solution.

2. Clothes, towels and bedsheets used by quarantine personshould be washed with any detergent and dry in direct sunlight.

3. Surface of toilet should clean and disinfect daily with phenyle or any household bleach solution.

Which type of food to eat in self- quarantine.

  1. Make a healthy balance diet plan, it include immunity booster foods which have anti-viral properties.
  2. Always use fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid frozen foods. Try to eat cooked food more instead of raw.
  3. Add fibre rich foods like whole wheat flour, oats, brown rice its help to improve your digestive system.
  4. Drink warm water with lemon in a day and take 8-10 glass of water throughout the day it helps you to keep hydrated.
  5. Include ginger, garlic, cinnamon, haldi (turmeric), mulethi, mushrooms, curd or yogurt. Also add traditional spices and herbs such as tulsi, giloy to boost your immunity.
  6. Take protein rich diet like dal, paneer, soyabaries.
  7. Take vitamin C rich fruits like orange, lemon, apple mangoes. This will helps you to fight with virus.

  9. Try to eat homemade well cooked foods.
  10.  Avoid saturated fat like butter, cheese, cream, red meats and fat dairy products.
  11. Unsaturated fats are good energy source. You can include in your diet nuts, canola and fish.
  12. Also not consume trans-fat products like pizza, fast foods, oily food, fried, cookies jam and spreads.
  13. Avoid tea, coffee and any kind of packed juices or soft drinks. This is not good for your health.
